County moratorium

DeSoto County approved a data center moratorium on July 29, 2026 — though the controversial project that prompted it can still advance under the terms adopted. Update (Oct 2026): the planning commission recommended denying the developer's next rezonings, calling the roughly 1,300-acre plan “clearly not ready”; the county commission has the final say (WINK News).
