Privacy
The short version
We collect as close to nothing as a website can. No accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no trackers, no ads, and no sale or sharing of data.
What we don't collect
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts of any kind. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we have no advertising or marketing partners.
What is processed to serve the site
The site is hosted on Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify's infrastructure processes standard technical information — such as your IP address and browser type — in server logs for the purpose of delivering pages and maintaining security. That processing is governed by Netlify's privacy policy. We do not use this information to identify visitors.
The tip & corrections form
The form asks for no name and no contact information; the email field is optional and exists only so we can reply if you want a reply. Submissions are transmitted and stored through Netlify's form service and are visible only to the site's operator. They are never published as received, are used only to research and correct the site's content, and are deleted when no longer needed. If you leave the email field blank, your submission is anonymous to us — though, as with any web form, the hosting infrastructure records technical metadata such as the submitting IP address. Please don't submit confidential material you are not authorized to share.
External links
The site links extensively to news outlets and other external sites. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy practices apply.
