CoreWeave — $1.8B project; first award ($250M) under New Jersey's AI data center tax credit program

Residents rallied repeatedly through 2026 over noise, power and water demand, and how little notice they received before the planning board's approval. State lawmakers have since moved to eliminate the tax-credit program that funded the project. Construction has proceeded. Update (Aug 2026): Gov. Sherrill signed the End Data Center Tax Credits Act, scaling back the incentive program whose first award funded this project — a repeal driven largely by the Kenilworth backlash (S4390).
